Choir
Welcome to choir! Here you will learn about music through the instrument you already own – your voice!
Choir is not like other classes. In Math or English, students work for their own grades. A student who fails a math test doesn’t hurt anyone else’s grade – just their own. In choir, we do have a classroom setting and things to learn, but we also have to think of the choir as a group. In some ways, choir is like combining a class and a sport. In football, there are offensive players, defensive players, special teams, trainers and more. All these people use their special talents to follow the coach’s playbook trying to win as a team. In choir, we have female and male voices, a piano player, and a director tying everything together. We all have our own jobs and must follow the playbook (our music) to make the team successful.
